It works like this: look up at her with the most innocent
look you can imagine. Big eyes, the works.
Then barely open your mouth and let out the
tiniest meow you can make. Barely more than a squeak.
And just listen to the SQUEEEEs!!!! roll in.

Oh, yes, Derry can relate to that, though he's learned to be more vocal from Nicki. Even so, most of his vocalizations still are somewhat kitten-ish (not very young kitten sounding, though) and that gets the human out of bed at 3AM to check on him, give him cuddles, etc., etc.

ReplyDeleteYes, that is a heart-melter for sure! Moosey does the "silent" meow once in a while, too. Sammy is NOT a quiet meower, though. MOL :)
