Tuesday, March 19

Our Mom wants to let everyone who cares know that
Tuesday, March 19 is a VERY IMPAWTANT day.

This is the day Thorin comes out on DVD.

She's kind of a very, very big fan of Thorin Oakenshield.
We won't even begin to tell you how many pictures of him
she has on our walls. She has taken a vacation day for the 19th
so she can go to Target, get that DVD at opening -
she has been assured it will be on the shelf at 8 am -
and spend the day with her fav. dwarf.

In addition to all the many pictures on the walls,
she also bought this life size (4'10) cutout of Thorin for our bedroom:

Furriends, it's moments like this when you
have to look at your people and think -
it's a good thing we love you, Mom.

  1. I pre-ordered "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" (Blu-ray 3D/Blu-ray/DVD + UltraViolet Digital Copy Combo Pack) (2012) as soon as Amazon announced it... I didn't know it was actually called "Thorin Oakenshield" though! hahaha!

The Hobbit it my ALL time favorite book, followed closely by Lord of the Rings. I've read The Hobbit dozens of times and have bought it, given it away and replaced it countless times. I've even replaced my audio CD set once after loaning it out.

I went to see it in the theater and promptly fell asleep at the beginning... so I'm really looking forward to the DVD.

But I want to go on record as saying that I have NO life-sized photos of any hobbitses or dwarfs or elfs. Or orcs. Most especially not orcs.

    The End. =)
