Restored!

Mom made the house go back the way it was this morning.

Toby still has a tiny limp but he is purring now and got on the bed after it was replaced.

The gushy noms are being inhaled nicely.

Here is to a peaceful Wednesday with lots of naps!

We have other furriends who are struggling right now, like Nicki and Ollie. We hope everyone gets over their illnesses and injuries very quickly.

  2. Oh, Toby, we are so sorry to hear you had, er, those problems, but are thankful you are doing much better! We will send some purrs your way. We feel bad we weren't around much last week to lend our support. We had no internets for a couple days (no tv or phones either) and then a big snowstorm for 2 days. Like your poor experience, it wasn't pretty.

  4. Yay! We're glad things are getting back to normal there (especially for Toby)!

Oh, and to (try to) answer your question about "permanent fosters"...

As we understand it, "permanent foster" means the cat will live for the rest of their lives in that home, but that it is still technically available for adoption. It's usually something considered only when the cat has been at the shelter for a very long time, has medical issues, etc. It does the kitties a world of good to have a change in scenery, and to be in a real home with lots of love and a routine. And it makes room for the shelter to save more kitties. Does that make sense? :)
