Caturday, Interruptus

So yesterday, we were peacefully chilling out when Mom swoops in and grabs me up, stuffs me in the PTU and whisks me off to the Stabby Place - AGAIN! She said we needed to check my... whispers.... anal glands. Our most excellent news is that I was empty, so I'm all functioning normally again and won't have to return for another routine check up of my nether regions.

And then today we both got our nails clipped. Not that either of us asked for a mani-pedi, you understand, we just got one. Understandably we were a bit miffed and hissed to each other about the indignity of it all.

Then we remembered something. This week, Nerissa the Cat wrote about the experiences of his brofur, Anderson, another orange. Mom read it to us, it was quite well done, and heartbreaking, at least the middle part. Of course now he's well loved and looked after. Leia and I got to thinking, though, how lucky we are to have a Mom who fusses over everything and makes sure we have the best, safest, most comfy, happiest life she can give us. An unbelievable number of our feline counterparts... don't. So, for this weekend, we're giving her a pass on being irate.

But just this weekend, we wouldn't want her to think we're getting soft or anything!

  1. How rude to stuff you in the PTU without warning! I am glad the visit was okay though and you don't have to go back.

  6. It's good to be grateful... but it doesn't mean you have to give humans a pass on the annoying stuff either! Sparkle taught me that.
