Caturday - and Toby Haz a Worry

Dear Furriends,

Tonight I heard Mom talking to Auntie Mary about that other orange guy, the one from last week who the really nice lady brought in to be taken care of at the Stabby Place. Well, today Mom went back - she SAYS it was for reasons unrelated to that other orange guy - and spent some time while she was waiting, just hanging out with him.

Hmpf.

She gushed about how sweet and sociable he was, and how typically male orange cat he was. I do NOT approve of gushing about other cats.

She's only allowed to gush about me. I'm the only orange guy in her life. And it better stay that way!

This message brought to you by the Kittehs of Chez Whiskeratti.

PS: you don't think.... she wouldn't...really... bring home another kitteh?

Mom's note: as much as I wish I could adopt him, it would not be well received in this house.

  1. Toby, we bet she won't bring another kitty home. You and Leia are enough kitty for her. :)

  2. We think she was "just saying," Toby. Moms and Dads do that sometimes.

  4. I think your mum was just being friendly to him. He's orange so she probably couldn't help herself.

  5. Toby, we have the same concerns. Every time our mom goes to Petsmart, she *always* checks out the rescue cats and sweet talks them! Her behavior is especially shameful when it comes to black kidlets and tortie kidlets!

  6. Don't worry, Toby, you are the one and only orange kitty for your mom!
Even when she is hanging out with other kitties, her heart is always with you :-)

  7. Oh Toby and Leia....I, Mom of Madi, know exactly what your mom means. Another kitty would not be welcomed here either. We will put our paws/hands together in hopes that sweet boy finds a home soon.
    Hugs from Madi's mom

  9. Oh, Toby! No worries, kit-cat pal! You're the #1 orange guy in your mom's life. That other orange kit-cat needs some love, though. Fortunately, even if your mom gives him some lovin', there is PLENTY abounding love left for you and Leia. Moms are like that.
    Yours sincerely,

  11. Toby, my mom gushes over EVERY cat she sees. Including here in the CB! Man, massive cheating on me right in front of me. I would no more allow her to adopt another cat than I would leave this home! This is MY home...no one else. I am extremely possessive of mom. xxo

  14. Don't worry, Toby, we know that you will always be her number one orange mancat! The Mom gushes about other orange mancats sometimes, too, but she always comes home to ME and that's what counts!

  15. But, but, but.... you'd have an orange brother! Someone to tussle with and teach how to be a purrfect Mancat, meaning he'd defer to you all the best treats and places to sleep. Yeah, that could happen.... *wink*

  16. You would be surprised how easily it is to slip a kitten into a cat household. a few extra bits of food for everyone and a little extra love, and the kitten basically goes unnoticed ;)
