It Talks - But What Does It Say??

Gather round, my furriends, and hear my tail of woe:

On Tuesday I was unceremoniously whisked off to the Stabby Place. It was time for my arthritis shot (we switched to Medicam drops) and Mom had them steal my bloods. They took it from my neck this time! How uncivilized is that, I ask you?

The bloodwork results were good. One kidney is slightly enlarged and since my visit for heat stroke two months ago, my heart now murmurs. Purrsonally, I don't hear it say anything so I think maybe they are wrong about that, but I just started a half pill every day for it.

And the crowning indignity - they rolled me on my side to trim my back claws. I can handle my own pointy ends just fine, thank you very much!

Mom's note:

My poor beautiful orange boy. If there is a problem, it's always him.

  1. Sounds like they have vampires over there. My paws are crossed that you won't have to go back fur a looong time!

  2. Oh Toby, I know what it's like being dragged to the vet and having bloods stolen. I hope you're doing okay and you got lots of treats for everything you went through. ~Ernie

  3. I'm glad nothing too awful showed up in your tests, Toby! I will tell you a secret: Binga needs to be restrained on her side to have claw trims! Don't mention that I told on her!

  7. Poor Toby, they sound like vampires taking bloods from your neck. I am glad you are OK, sorry you need to take meds for your heart.

  8. Benny has had a heart murmur for a number of years, but thankfully doesn't need medication for it. We're glad you're stable and doing well!

Elliott's heart murmurs too but he also has no idea what it's saying.

  13. So ... Toby. Let me ask you this. Did they just TAKE your blood? I mean, did they ask first? They never ask me first -- and they don't sit and give their paw or ANYthing. Oh. And I'm not allowed to have breakfast before I go. It's terrible!!! Not only that -- they don't give it back, either. I just don't get it.
I hope you're feline ok now. Ha roo. Get it? That's to cheer you up. I've got to go tell Maggie that one!

    2. Commiserations, Toby. Those stabby places can be quite a trial but if they help you get better, than all the indignity is worth it! Love from a sympathetic Toffee and me.
