Easy Like Sunday

Although as felines, we like to take it easy every day of the week, there is something especially special about Sundays for doing this, don't you think?

And I think I will do mine on this pawsome new table Mom just bought for us yesterday. It's pub height, so I can't really jump, but Mom arranged the chair so it's right between table and couch; a bit of a hop and I'm there! (I heard a rumor that when we get to the new house, the table will not be accessible for us felines, but I'm sure that's just crazy talk).

*******

Today we would like to remember our woofie cousin, Max. He was a special fellow, full of energy, and utterly devoted to his Mom, our Auntie Mary. He was also very intelligent and had a wicked sense of humor. He came to our family as a puppy, and was with his mom for a great many years;  he left for the Bridge on the Thursday before Thanksgiving 2014.

He had a great passion for pulling socks off feet, and once even pee'd on our Mom's leg! No one was ever really sure why he did that, though of course Max knew. She and Auntie Mary were sitting outside and he sauntered up and bam. Max, you were a fine fellow and are still greatly missed.

  1. That does look like a comfy table, I can't imagine your Mom making anything off limits to you. Max was a cutie. That story reminded me of when I was a kid, we had a dog that peed on the insurance man's leg, he never said a word about it ( I guess he wanted our business).

  2. Mom is probably just joking, Toby. After all, why would the table be open to you and Leia now, just to be off limits at your new house? We say you've established a precedence...

What a nice memory of Max. Hugs to you as you remember him.

  4. That looks like a very comfy table so I hope you get to keep it. Max was a cute little guy. That was funny that he peed on your mum's leg. Maybe he could smell you and wanted your mum to smell like him.

  6. No cats on the table? We have that rule, too, so we just wait until Mom's asleep.

  9. That table should be accessible to you kitties always? What's with this talk about it not being after the move? So wrong.

  10. We don't understand why humans think kitties shouldn't have access to the table. Max was very cute...purrs to all of you as you remember him today.

  15. Moms and their crazy talk. We think that's something they get sometimes, like a cold or something. Sweet Angel Max, he sounds like he was adorable and a hoot!
