Mancat Monday

Mom is such a lush - she was constantly smooshing my glorious, warm orange furs. At LEAST once every two hours yesterday.

No peace at all for this poor kitteh. She needs to find some other way to get a fix, this sort of thing seriously impacts my sleep schedule.

So, why I bit the momma recently:

We were both sitting there watching the outside kitteh eat. Turns out I'm not as chill about this as she thought. I got into a huff when O cat looked at me, so mom walked away. And I bit her foot as she passed. And she... she... laughed at me. Can you believe that? It's hard to chomp successfully when ya only gots the one fang.

Plus, she said I'd gotten to be like that teen who stayed in his room and wouldn't interact with his family, because I never left my spot by the glass, even though I was very quiet.

So now.... The glass door is completely blocked off for a good long while.

MOUSES!

Mancat Monday - Action Shots!

Mom broke out the last of the toys from the Kit 'n Nip box we got a few weeks ago.
I woke up long enough to get my turn.

That box had some seriously pawsome toys in it!
Here I am wrestling this one into submission, teaching it who is who in this house.

Hi - yahhh!!!! Take THAT!

Oh yeah, Leia liked it too.

This one is for YOU, Brody!

Happy week, furriends.

Easy Like Sunday

What, Mom? Doesn't every one sit on the top of their chair??
Oh, they don't? Too bad. The view is better up here.

Ok, fine, we can go hang out on the table now.
You may admire me from close up.

Hey!
I did NOT authorize this close up tummy shot, lady.
That is a private area.
Expect to hear from my cattorney, Katie Isabella, about damages!

WHAT is all that noise going on??? Have you both forgotten this is EASY Sunday?
So that means be quiet, people.

Fluff this. I'm going back to sleep now.

It's Wednesday

You know..

On reflection, biting the momma
is maybe not the BEST idea.

Yeah.

Gator Update:
Unfortunately, he turned out
to be 5 ft, 7 inches long. He sure didn't
look that big at a distance.

So no more gator.

Sunday - MOM!

Leia:
I just want to hang out with everyone, and the dining table is a great way to do that!
Mom sits in the chair and snuggles with us both. I'm all for it. I roll around and show off my tummy, she gives good tummy rubs.

Why is Toby such a brat about it??

Toby:
I remember the days when that girl didn't get on the table. It was just me. Or just me and mom.
Sighs. Those were glory days, right?

Mom:
*I* remember the day I bought this dining set and brought it home, back in NC.
I had this crazy notion I could actually eat at this table. By myself. No cats.
Ha.
I think I've eaten maybe three meals on this table in about a year and a half.

Toby:
I think I've just been deeply insulted and slandered. I'm leaving.

Dear furriends, do you see how I'm suffering!!!

Finally Friday - Life in Florida

We live in Tallahassee, which is essentially a city plunked down in a forest.
There is a large lake just down the street from where I work and live.

Today, a lady called my office and said there was a gator on our property. So of course I had to go look for myself. And who looks at stuff these days WITHOUT their cell phone camera??

This guy is between 3 - 4 feet, and has taken up residence in our holding pond, up by the road.
He was enjoying a bit of sun here.

I couldn't get closer for a better picture, but he was kind of cute.
Obviously, we're grading on a curve here.

For now - he won't be so cute when he's a solid 8-footer.

Florida Game & Fish will be sending a biologist to evalute him.

Under 4 feet, relocation.

Over 4 feet.. well...

In case you are wondering, this is not unusual at all for pretty much any part of Florida.
Especially in drought conditions, they come up all over, including front porches, swimming pools, etc.

Mancat Monday: Reunited...

and it feels so good!!

Here I am with my wonderful HLR (hoomin litterbox room) rug.
It's relatively new - and soooo luxurious.

But it went missing. Because it got wet.
Because I may or may not have barfed all over it.
My entire breakfast (allegedly).

And mom had to wash it, so it was wet for days while it dried.

But now it's BACK!!!

And this time, rug, I'm not letting go.

Mom, mom, mom....

Sighs. Once again, you have cut us to the quick. How could you have so little faith in us??
Honestly, woman.

Dear furriends, you see here that I'm watching one of the outside kittehs
we feed enjoying his/her evening snack. Calmly. Quietly.

Not hitting the glass with outrage. Not screaming, hissing, spitting.
NOT inflicting my redirected aggression onto my tiny sisfur, Leia.

And here you see it's not just me, it's her too.

Mom, this is what we mature, sophisticated individuals - also known as "cats" -
like to refer to as a growth experience.

So there. Neener neener neener.

Tiny Tabby Tuesday

This weekend, Mom was doing laundry. As you can see,
I know exactly what to do with fresh from the dryer stuff!

For some reason, she started laughing when she saw me here,
and rushed to get the camera.

Weirdo.

PS: guess who was JEALOUS when he saw me get here first?
Especially since it got all put away right after these pics were taken.
