Girls Stick Together!

How unfair is that, I ask you?

So last night I was lounging at the top of the stairs. Leia wanted entry to the second floor but hey, she didn't want to show her hall pass. I insisted on inspecting her security credentials and things got a bit... heated.. during our discussion.

And then Mom steps in! Literally. She stood right in front of me and let that girl run past me before I could meow a thing about it. Not fair, Mom, not fair.

At least I will always have my wonderful Halloween Princess.

PS: Zoe is much better and at home now. Yeaaa!!!

What They Don't Know Yet

Although I've hinted at it.

In December, these North Carolina kittehs will transfer their residency to the great state of Florida. Tallahassee, to be precise.  It's from whence I came, and to whence I will be returning. And if I have to go, so do they.

What I'm dreading is a 9 hour car ride with two nervous, unhappy felines. I put off my return to December because it will be much cooler. I plan to rent a medium size SUV so I can give them as much room as possible in the back, with some kind of confinement area. Two dog crates or a playpen maybe, with some space for a litterbox. Feliway applications. I've been reading about desensitizing car rides; I have my doubts but I have to try.

Someone else will be driving, so I can sit with them most of the way and talk to them. And if absolutely neccessary, I will have sedation pills. Last resort. I really don't want to go there; I'm hoping they will settle into that infamous cat-coma while we are on the move. I wish with all my heart I didn't have to do this to them, but sometimes we all have to endure. I'm not enthusiastic about long car rides myself.

There is a lot of experience out in the Cat Blogosphere, so I'm hoping for some solid advice. These are my babies. How can I help make this easier for them?

What We Have Here...

is a failure to communicate, Mom.

I want ALL your attention! Yes, it's nice that sometimes you sit on the floor with me so we can hang out BUT you try to multi-task. Don't multi-task when the other task is the kitteh.

So I'm just gonna lounge on your leg here till
you get the point.

Mancat Monday

For ages now, I've been trying to get Mom to understand that this is MY space. Not hers. Yes, I know that technically it's "her" dressing table, but clearly, it's meant to be a lounge space for a mancat.

I mean, seriously, look at all this room. Can you believe we've been battling for over two years?! I kept knocking things off... finally she'd realize she needed to relocate it. One by one, they all fell to my mighty whapping paw. And the steel in my eye as I'd do it, looking sternly right at her. You have to make sure they get the point.

Hoomins can be quite dense, so training is usually a laborious chore. Finally she got it, and moved the last bit (a hairdryer in its metal holder). Right where I'm sprawled here, that's where it was.

I win.

Finally Friday

Mom made it!!! Yeaaa!!!!

Girls.... such copycats! Yesterday I was in the facilities area, doing...well... you know,
when Leia pops up right in the middle. She marches over to the box and waits RIGHT THERE
for me to finish. We brushed furs as I exited and she entered. And with mom in the kitchen watching the whole thing too (weirdo).

Such a brazen hussy, that tabby girl.

Easy Sunday

At least we're trying to have one!
But keeping an eye on the mom is very tiring. Maybe we can risk a nap.....

Wordless Wednesday

Mom took this one evening recently coming out of the grocery store.
Everyone was staring at the sky so she did too!

Mancat Monday - PRE-EMPTED

By ME - the lovely Princess Leia. Take that, Orange Boy.

At night I like to take up residence by the headboard to sleep with Mom.
I tuck myself into this tiny corner and just ZZZzzzz away.

It's also safer to sleep up here. If I sleep down at the foot of the bed,
Mom will sometimes touch me with her toe when she stretches.
And then I take off like a miniature furry rocket.

Happy Monday to all our furriends!

Hey wait, what happened? Mom, WHY did you let her take my day??

Mom's note - I recently discovered bamboo linens.
We have two sets of pillowcases that are AWESOME.
A whole sheet set is a bit pricey but if you have a Tuesday Morning near you,
that's a great place to get them.

Happy Caturday

We're here! We made it! Woooo!!! Or as our Sibe furriends would say - ha roOOOOO!!

The door opened! Mom went in and we followed her. I stayed...

Surely she won't notice I'm here... So I can stay when she leaves, and get in that attic again...

This is me being quiet as a church mouse.

MOUSES! She's making me leave.

Hmpf.

Have a great weekend furriends.

And may Ceiling Cat be with YOUR plans!

Wordless Wednesday. Sorta

Yep. She's still yelling about the closed door.
