You know, it's amazing the noises a hoomin will make when you bite them, isn't it? And really I think she had it coming. I was innocently playing with her hair. It's so much fun when the ends fly everywhere on the pillows from the fan, and I have to try to catch it. It's a really fun game.
I got into it like I always do. But she fusses about this. So this morning she was trying to retrieve her hair ends from my paws; I ended up biting her with my Mighty Jaws of Doom. What else was I to do? She had captured both my paws!
..... on reflection, I might have bitten a lil too hard with my Mighty Jaws of Doom...
And ok, maybe I didn't let go right away. Probably, I did in fact hit bone too. But did that justify that awful screeching noise? I think not.
She wanted me to say goodbye this morning but I kept a dignified distance. Maybe tonight I will be willing to talk to her again.
- Toby, Yours in Sulking
The thing about Toby is, he is VERY big and VERY strong. His lineage is either Maine Coon or bobcat. His bone structure is just massive. That doesn't always come across in the pictures. If he weren't typically a laid back, relaxed cat I could never have kept him when he grew up. This morning when he bit, he wouldn't let go, hence the screeching.
Welcome to another Friday, furriends! We're just waking up from a very nice long nap.
Just in time to inspect something new. Isn't it amazing the stuff our 'rents can drag in ?? And they PAY for this. Green papers, good green papers that could go for nice toys. More noms. But no, she buys - this.
No, we do not put our Paw of Approval on this. We know you have a love of Hello Kitty that rivals our furriend Nissy's love of nip, but Holy Cod, Mom, they make pills for this!
Even Leia is snubbing it. And she's a girl.
Mom. Get it off me. Seriously. DO NOT WANT.
So... enough of that. Anything happen while we were asleep?
We kinda get the feeling there might be something we missed.....
Let's not tell the kittehs about this, shall we? Us hoomins need our secrets too!
This handsome specimen is a French Mastiff named Sampson. I met him yesterday at Petsmart.
This pic really doesn't do him justice - he is much bigger in the fur, trust me.
BTW, Petsmart carries a new cat food brand, Nulo. Protein 12.5%. I think that's the highest percentage I've seen yet. Here it is $1.79/can/5.5 oz. The furry ones like it.
I'm not a big fan of Petsmart. Frankly, it smells pretty bad. You can guess why. And they won't carry out my litter. And they are the size of a football field. I prefer Petsupermarket, but they are a much smaller store and don't carry as much. Since we've had to switch to all wet food, I've had to buy from different stores.
and not one of today's modern princesses, thank you.
I'm the type who doesn't get her paws dirty. Or wet. Who wants wet, dirty paws anyhow??
Take meals, for example. I always allow Toby to order our meals. Usually breakfast is the hardest to get, because that means getting Mom up.
But today - TODAY *I*, the Princess Leia (no relation to that other one whatsoever) ordered our lunch noms. I was hungry, Mom wasn't getting up (she's home today) and I wanted FED. Tobers was nowhere around so I took my matters into my own delicate paws.
It was an interesting experience. But one I don't care to repeat.
