Mancat Monday

Good morning, furriends!

Sometimes we think Mom lives just to bring stuff into this house. You have no idea. And it's so tiring, because of course we have to inspect everything, supervise its placement and/or assembly, it can be very stressful.

But this one we actually like:

Mom got it from this thing called an "estate sale". She put our furry blankie over it in the hopes that we would both use it and not destroy it (to be fair it does have wear and tear already. We think it's kind of old).

It passed the Paws of Approval test!

Enjoy your week. We're a bit sad that Mom has to go back to work today.

Happy Caturday!

Looky! I have a new bed. Mom bought it for me yesterday;
she says it's an orthopedic bed and has memory foam in it too.
TECHNICALLY it's a bed for woofies,
but on account of me being a big guy,
she had to look elsewhere.

This here is our upstairs second bedroom window area, the place that gets
the most sun - especially impawtant for those cold winter days.
Leia gets the small woofie bed you see to the left (it used to belong to cousin Max)
but I lounged on the floor. I tried the bed a couple of times but most of me just
didn't fit in it.

Yeaaaa me!

Mom. Mom. Mommy! We haz to talk.

Toby was such a BEAST to me the other night!
Why did he get a present?!

Mom: I know it doesn't seem fair, Tabby Girl, but Toby's old, creaky bones
need extra help. YOU have that nice plushie bed, he needs something too.
And this wasn't really a present, you know.

Leia: Hmpf. This may require the back of disrespect. I shall have to consider.

In the meantime...

Happy Caturday, furriends!

Tabby Girl Tuesday

Ohhhh last night was exciting! Too exciting, really.

Toby was an absolute BEAST to me, but Mommy SAVED me.

At the cost of her foot, that's true, but it was a small price to pay to keep my furs whole.

PS: Toby - this raspberry is for YOU!

And now a meow from the beast himself....

Dear Mommy,

I'm very sorry I attacked your foot last night.  I didn't mean to but it got in the way of attacking Leia.

Which I know you didn't like either, but ... but... I HAD TO. There were awful ebil introoder kittehs in our courtyard - he even went up on the steps! Right outside the door! The CHEEK!

So I admit I got over excited and went after Leia. I mean, that was safer than going after YOU.

Except that I did bite and scratch you.
And you didn't take kindly to that and said some rather rude things to me about it.

- Sincerely, your VERY VERY loving furry orange son, Tobers

Mom's note:

I *thought* I had cat proofed the courtyard against wanderers. Clearly I didn't.

But, by the end of this weekend, it will be. By the grace of Lowe's and my own creativity.

Mancat Monday

Mom says it's Thanksgiving week - we hope all our furriends have a great holiday,
and especially lots of turkey!

Oh, and our stern talking to got us our fried chick-hen.
So we've stopped our plotting for revenge. THIS time.

Sometimes when I come to Mom for a head scritching, she will put out both hands.
Then I have to decide which direction to lean into. One hand is a much easier choice, don't you think?

ThankLESS Thursday

Mom, we have to talk.

Do you realize it's been a whole WEEK since we last had fried chick-hen??

What's up with that?

Exactly! I too am all fainty with the chick-hen hunger, Mom.

If we don't get some SOON, steps will be... taken....

You've been warned.

Girlz Only!

Mom got a new toy today. Well, sometimes we do have to allow our hoomins to do that, otherwise they can get cranky.

It's from Triple T Studios (The Tiniest Tiger), The Cat Walk Cross Body Phone Bag. She has a few other items from there too. This bag is one of a set of three items. It has a different design on front and back.

Mom was impressed at how nicely it was created. The zipper teeth are even real metal!
She doesn't see this much anymore (possibly because she's rather cheap).

And the inside has a cute little The Tiniest Tiger name tag.

She says if anyone wants to get this - or any of their items - sign up for the newsletter and wait for the discount code. She gets at least one code a week and is pretty allergic to buying stuff full price (hey, I TOLD you she was cheap!).

*** We were not compensated in any way for this post. (unfortunately). Mom just wanted to share her newest toy.

Caturday Is Here!

What, now? But I'm trying to NAP!

Oh, all right. Just a few.

Ok, that's all - I'm off the clock now.

ZZZZZZZ.....

Happy weekend, furriends. Stay toasty

Tabby Girl Thursday

As you can see, I'm meditating. I do that a lot, I have great patience.
I can sit here, or anywhere really, for minutes and minutes.

It always impresses Mom.

Toby**, on the other paw, can't seem to meditate for longer than oh... maybe 5 minutes.
You know, for a kitteh, he really doesn't have much patience. AT ALL.

Ok, now it's time for my nap.

For which I am very thankful. I LOVE my naps!

** the boy does get style points for his napping though.

Multi Kitteh Monday

Normally I wouldn't share Mancat Monday with Leia but this week is a bit different.

As every kitteh knows, we wear many hats when it comes to our hoomins - sometimes we soothe them, stir them up, supervise deliveries and assembling things. We take care of them when they are sick - and what a pain that is! - and even do things just to amuse them. They really are very simple creatures.

But.

Caturday was a .... different kind of day. Mom has been fighting with the company that brings our Internet service into the house. We won't name it but it starts with a T (think clocks.....). It was the second disruption of our peaceful household this week, but they weren't able/were too lazy to fix the problem. The tech was actually very rude, lazy and incompetent, and basically told her she had to "suck it up" when it came to not getting the proper speed. Whatever the problem is, it's on THEIR end, not ours. He spent 25 minutes here, most of that on the phone to someone else.

She got so mad, she ordered him to get out. WE had sense enough to stay out of the way upstairs. Even when we came down, we were just a bit careful. Let's just say the energy was... um... crackling for awhile.

Some days you really do just need to leave the hoomins be. This is our Multi Kitteh Monday Public Service Meow for the week.

***yes, it was rude to order him out and shut the door in his face while he was still talking but he deserved it. I'm having a very hard time being sorry about it.

SPOOKY Finally Friday

Are you a-skeered?
Are you fainting with fear?

No? Well, we kittehs are made of sterner stuff,
but I bet your hoomins are quaking at my ghost kitteh routine!

I'm practicing tricks for next Meowloween.

Happy Finally Friday to all!

Mancat Monday

So, it was a long weekend, furriends. We actually had some sticky little people show up on Halloween - all because Mom forgot our outside light was on a sensor and turned on at dusk. And it happened while our dinner was being prepared too. Threw me right off my game for maybe an hour.

And today, oh today - Mom was cleaning and found one of our....secret... toys - a water jug ring. Great for chewing and batting around. We're not actually allowed to have those, but SOME KITTEH forgot to hide it again when she/he was done, and it got found. And trashed.

Drat. Those are hard to come by, don't you know?

PS: Pee on the carpet JUST ONCE and you've got a rep
for all nine lives. How fair is that ?
