My stove got rained on this morning. Yes, I know that shouldn't happen; generally speaking, electrical appliances and water don't mix well. Hence the desire to scream.
I didn't, but I wanted to. This is just the latest in a string of house repair situations. I had a plumbing repair on Caturday, though that was minor.
So I came to work and told my administrator that I would need yet another half day off to deal with this. His response was to find me a new place to live. A much better, nicer, more energy efficient place to live. In case you're wondering, I work for a church. So this sort of thing isn't so unusual here. :)
Now I just have to tell the cats we're moving next month... for now, let it be a surprise to them. Please don't tell your own felines, because they will undoubtedly send a mental text to mine. But when the boxes start coming home, they WILL know.

Gees, can your administrator find us a better (read quieter, more private) place to live too? :-)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! It's the time to declutter and donate if you tend to be a pack rat.
And *I* certainly won't tell the cats...but I haven't any control over what the boys channel to fellow felines. :-p
The thing about moving and us kitties - the boxes are SO much fun! Until the realization sets in...
ReplyDeleteI hope everything goes well for a smooth move.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that your administrator found you a new and better place to live! WE won't tell Toby and Leia. We promise!
ReplyDeleteWe hope all goes well with the move. :)
ReplyDeleteWe'll keep our paws crossed for all of you AND our mouths quiet! MOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday!
We hope the move goes very smoothly. Glogirly has always thought moving was a fun adventure, but us kitties aren't quite as enthusiastic. Sparkle's advice is good...there's always the boxes!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your house situation is so stressful right now. :( I hope the new place doesn't cause you stress! I won't tell my kitties anything ;)
ReplyDeletecongratulations on finding a better place to live. Purrs that the move goes smoothly and the cats take it all in stride.
