Oh Those Achy Bits.... !!

Happy Monday to all.

On Caturday morning, early, I bent over and OOOWWWWW evil bees! Evil bees!

Also known as a pulled muscle in my lower back. Google says technically, pulled back muscles are rare, this is really a nerve issue but I. Do. Not. Care. It HURT!

On the plus side, I used the new telemedicine app my company subscribed to for us, as of April 1, and while I lay in bed on a heating pad, talked to a very nice doctor who prescribed the good Motrin and a steriod for inflammation. Getting in my car to pick it up just about made me cry but I managed, and now on Monday morning, I'm a lot better. Still hurting but much more manageable. However, I am off today, since I can't really sit more than two hours at most.

Incidentally, bee stings are pretty much what it feels like to sit for too long.

In other news..

I watched Queen Elizabeth's national address. Can she lead us too ? Please?
(apologies to our founders but you had no idea what was coming so.... )

Also, I started watching The Good Fight on CBS yesterday. I was hooked 20 minutes into the first ep. Excellent show.

  2. Yikes! We hope you're much better soon; purrs from Derry.

I'm not really big on the monarchy, even though I'm Canadian, but yes, I did watch the Queen's speech yesterday. I hope people take her message to heart and both comply with health officials and also keep the faith (so to speak) that all WILL be well again.

    Take good care of yourself!

  4. Eeks, what hell! Hope you heal quickly.
I hurt my back in it's usual space, by hugging The PO'M too much, as I hunch over...

  8. I love Queen Elizabeth, and I listened too. I understand this is the 4th time in her reign the she has done this. I feel total sympathy for you. I have had that same pulled muscle aka nerve pain in my lower back and twice in the upper back that left me unable to hardly move. I was given the humdinger of pain killer. It worked enough to allow me to go back to work 5 days later. But not at full speed so to speak. Some women had to get me into my uniform and buckle my gun belt.

  10. We hope your back gets better soon. Pain like that is no fun at all.

We heard snippets of the queen's message, but for our mom to feel comforted she listens to Prime Minister Trudeau's daily update (she streams CBC in the morning).

  11. We’re sorry about your back. We hope it feels better soon. The mom watches the Good Fight and likes it a lot. She needs to watch the new season that started recently.

  13. My back is the bane of my existence. I've tried everything - from PT to a TENS machine to heat to massage to special exercises ... it's a lost cause. My range of motion is pitiful. Minus a cracked rib from a car accident that wasn't my fault, the rest is probably my fault. In high school, I worked at a grocery store and I didn't take the time to protect my back.
