GASP!
KITTEHS!
Our Mom was ASSAULTED! We're just shocked.
See how shocked I am??
She came home yesterday from her evening walk smelling like a DOG.
and she'd been SLOBBERED ON! Didn't we tell you ??!!!
What is this world coming to? We feel faint.
The Mom: He was a beautiful big lab of about 80 pounds, still very much a puppy in spirit if not size. He was out with his person and wanted to make friends with everyone he saw. I do like dogs and didn't mind this, even when he took my fingers in his teeth and slobbered on me.
What I did mind was that he wasn't on a leash, didn't have a collar on and clearly was not trained to voice commands. He started running all over creation, completely ignoring his human. There are many people in the world who are afraid, even terrified, of dogs. Having one this size bound up to you and take your hand in his mouth might just freak them out enough to hide in a closet for a year. Not to mention, he was perilously close to the major road my community lives off of.
Toby wouldn't come near me for awhile after I returned home. Poor guy!

What?!
Mom bought a new desk today. It has to be assembled.
But this was not on our schedule!
We didn't approve this purchase -
we weren't prepared to supervise something of this magnitude on our Easy Sunday.
But wait, our story gets worse!
Mom couldn't put it together after all so she has to hire someone.
A noisy stranger will be in our home soon to do this.
Nothing about this is right!
PS: Mom says I'm not allowed to call Leia my lovely assistant again.
We're... what was that word... partners.

A Very Impawtant Announcement...
and here is my lovely assistant to do the honors, Princess Leia:
PS: I am not your lovely assistant. I'm telling Mom you said that!
Thank you, Leia. You did a purrrfect job. Furriends, please excuse me for not being able to do that myself, I had to inspect the Finally Friday clothing choice for the Mom.
It's FINALLY FRIDAY!!!!
Party on, dudes (and dudettes!)

This new top passed. She may wear it today.

Slightly Less Wordy Wednesday
So yesterday I gave my mom the love eyes.
I was just in a relaxed mood, you know.
She tried to give them back.
Moms. They try hard, don't they?
Bless their little hearts.

Caturday, Interruptus
So yesterday, we were peacefully chilling out when Mom swoops in and grabs me up, stuffs me in the PTU and whisks me off to the Stabby Place - AGAIN! She said we needed to check my... whispers.... anal glands. Our most excellent news is that I was empty, so I'm all functioning normally again and won't have to return for another routine check up of my nether regions.
And then today we both got our nails clipped. Not that either of us asked for a mani-pedi, you understand, we just got one. Understandably we were a bit miffed and hissed to each other about the indignity of it all.
Then we remembered something. This week, Nerissa the Cat wrote about the experiences of his brofur, Anderson, another orange. Mom read it to us, it was quite well done, and heartbreaking, at least the middle part. Of course now he's well loved and looked after. Leia and I got to thinking, though, how lucky we are to have a Mom who fusses over everything and makes sure we have the best, safest, most comfy, happiest life she can give us. An unbelievable number of our feline counterparts... don't. So, for this weekend, we're giving her a pass on being irate.
But just this weekend, we wouldn't want her to think we're getting soft or anything!

A Few Words on Wednesday
Here we are, enjoying the window that gives the most sun. And have we ever needed it this winter.
Mom wants us to let everyone know about our good news - she found some photo back up disks she had made in 2013, so we have many of our pictures restored to us. Especially the oldest ones, which of course are the most precious. She's very happy about this.
She also wants to remind all our furriends of what we all know but put off - BACK UP NOW! Flash drive, disks, the cloud, somewhere, anywhere, but don't lose your impawtant stuff.
