The other night, it was time for Mom to change the sheets. I arrive on the scene to offer my expert assistance and what happens?? She REFUSES to let me help. Something was muttered along the lines of "for the love of all things furry let me get this done so I can go to sleep."
But I turn the other orange cheek and do the next best thing - lounge on the old sheets.
I'm not only helpful - when she allows it! - I'm also a forgiving feline.
Happy Monday, y'all.
It's true, Toby. Why do the humans not understand that we're just trying to help? - Gracie and Zoe
ReplyDeleteIt is frustrating how ungrateful humans can be! For example, my human gets mad whenever I try to finish Binga's uneaten food! Can you believe it? Okay, there are only a few crumbs left, and I also chew the paper plate to bits, but I'm only trying to be helpful.
ReplyDeletemol TOBY IF your help is not appreciated...then the next best thing is to contemplate WHY!!

I am not sure why some humans don't appreciate kitty help. I love it when Phoebe helps me make the bed. :) I could do without the help reading the newspaper though.
ReplyDeleteYa see? We believe getting those fresh un-furry sheets all furred up IS helping! Who can figure out humans?? You're a good Mancat, Toby.
ReplyDeleteLOL it's so typical of hoomins, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYou are such a good kitty. Hope your hoomin will learn to appreciate all you do :-)
Oh, I LOVE to help change the sheets! Mom said not only do I have a knack for turning a 5 minute chore into a 30 minute one (what a gift!), but that I make it tons more fun, too. Today, she was trying to strip an air mattress and deflate it so she could put it away, and BOTH Cam and I helped. You should have seen it! We might post a video. Anyway, it took us a good hour to do it.
ReplyDeleteHa roo roo roo, what would they do without us?
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
I agree, our help is never properly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteMy mom actually locks me out of the bedroom when she changes the sheets so that I can't help her. What an ingrate! ~Wally
ReplyDeleteYou should be appreciated fur the beautifur kitty you are!
ReplyDeleteYour Furend,
Louia Dog Armstrong
Toby, it's adorable that you lay down on the old sheets! Our kitties never played with the sheets; maybe they missed that lesson at kitten school.
ReplyDeleteToby, all you can do is try.. if your people don't appreciate it, don't let that deter you from trying again.
ReplyDeleteYep! Lounging on the old sheets can be as much fun as the clean sheets!

Don't I know it. And it's not like the peeps don't need our help or anythin'. They need our help, for sure. But when you go to help, what do they do? All I say is... MOUSES! purrs
