As a veteran of more ER Stabby Place visits than I care to remember, I feel a certain... shall we say... justice that mom had to go to a hoomin ER Stabby Place for herself.
She was having enough pain to want to chew off her own leg, so she went this afternoon. She says she has two words: uterine fibroids.
We wanted to thank everyone for their good thoughts from yesterday.
And to assure everyone that
we are back on the job tonight.
Purr Therapy to the Rescue!

My human actually almost died from those! She was literally bleeding to death and needed transfusions. An embolization procedure was what saved her... and it was something she had to research and advocate for back in 2002. She's not sure what it's like now, or if there is anything new to treat them. But fibroid embolization was an unusual procedure back then.

I can absolutely see how that could happen at this point. I believe they do have more treatment options now, including freezing.

ReplyDeleteOh no...........we are so very sorry about your mom's ER visit. My human sissy had those horrible leg pains from them too. She finally had to have surgery. Thank goodness your mom is feeling better and you two are there to comfort her.
