The Doorway
I'm looking for the doorway to the fae world.
Leia goes there all the time, but I can't seem to find the way.
Does anyone else know?
I'm off again! See you later, Toby-gator.
MOL!! Silly boys, can't find their way.

Mancat Monday
Mom says every day is a special occasion with me!
Ok, she also says that about Leia but whatever. Today is all about ME!
We read on The Funny Farmers' blog about some very
worthy folks who need
worthy folks who need
a bit of help. Here is the story.

Nearly Wordless Wednesday
Ha! Look who got up on the back of our nicest piece
of furniture and STARTED SCRATCHING IT! Mom didn't know she did that.
But she's just the tiny tabby angel, don't you know?

Mancat Monday
You may have heard that recently, I had a bout with gimpiness. There's even a rumor going around that Mom LET me get to the top or the bottom of the stairs before her. I always do this - it's just a mancat thing, I gotta be first.
Well, let me tell you now - and I know which tiny tabby girl started this lie, by the way - that is NOT TRUE. I had only the tiniest amount of a limp, you could barely see it, and only if the light was just right. Nothing to fuss about at all. Ok, it is true that on the stairs with Mom recently, I was a trifle slower than usual but it's simply erroneous to say that Mom stopped entirely and waited for me to go first.
Now for a bit of a flashback story (no special reason, we just remembered it and wanted to share); when I first met Mom's sister, my Aunt, she stayed a few nights with us. They are a lot alike; that first night Auntie was sitting in the computer chair when I came up to her, stretched out to my full height, one paw on the chair arm - and I am a tall kitteh - and carefully reached out my paw to pet Auntie. Who was quite surprised but pleased to get this attention. She told my Mom all about it next day. (this was the pre-blogging era so we've never shared it before).

Easy Sunday
So here is what Toby is doing today:
Gotta admit, that is a fine 'roo impression.
Now, *I*, on the other paw, am hard at work:
I'm consulting with the warrior statue on impawtant security matters.
We have briefings every day, he and I.
If we left this sort of thing to Toby, he'd just sleep through all of it.
And Mom has a small PSA to pass on to fellow Petsmart shoppers:
If you need any Pill Pockets, they are on sale today for buy one, get one half off.
At least here in Fayetteville they are. And since she had a $5 coupon from the last trip,
that made an especially good deal for her. That woman LUFFS her coupons & discounts.

I TOLD You I Was Fine!!
But Moms - and probably not Dads either - they never listen to us, do they?
I got hauled off to the Stabby Place today because Mom thought I hadn't ... excuse me... peed since 5 pm yesterday. Turns out I was just fine, she clearly mistook my output for one of Toby's. She was told kittehs on Prednisone produce more. Usually she's pretty good about telling which of us did what.
Well, confused hoomins are nothing new to any feline!
Gotta say, it ruined a purrfectly nice morning. I was all comfy upstairs with Toby on the bed when she comes home for lunch, an hour ahead of schedule, and tricks me into letting her grab me and force me into the PTU. Off we go, where Stabby Place lady finds just a tiny bit in my bladder. See? I was fine!
On a side note, I'm now almost supermodel skinny - just under 7 lbs. Last vet visit, January of 2013, I was almost 10. She was quite surprised about that too. We will just file that under Nothing New here.
And finally, an update on Toby - the Pred is working its magic and he is not limping anymore. We are all glad about that. My orange BFF is just not an adversary worthy of my steel (claws, that is!) when he's gimpy. Takes all the fun right out of it.
Ciao!

Toby Has an Owwwie
I don't feel so good right now. I'm a bit limpy and gimpy. I gotta tell y'all, this hurts.
Last night was kinda rough. I couldn't get comfy anywhere! And I made some sad little noises too.
Mom says I have - probably - arthritis. Not Officially Diagnosed yet, but the lady at the Stabby Place gave us some Prednisone to help me get through this. Soon I will go in to be Officially Diagnosed. There might also be an injury - maybe I jumped wrong while I was sore, and that made me even more sore - but it still goes back to the A word.
Ok, I admit - it's kind of fun, in a way. I still run sometimes (should have seen me sprint up those stairs when I saw Mom had that stupid pill pocket) - and I still jump up on the couch. You should hear the noises MOM makes when I do that sort of thing. :) She tries to be helpful but I squirm away.
Hey, a mankitteh has got to keep his independence!
Leia: Yeah sure - except for the times you hide in Mom's hair to feel better.
Toby: Hey! We don't talk about that stuff! I've got a rep to maintain here. GIRLS!

Not Funny, Mom
See what we have to put up with???
In other, more interesting news...
Mom found us two bits that were pretty amazing:
She agrees with those who think this kitteh is not a bobcat after all, but a bigger kitteh.

Mancat Monday
You move!! - No, YOU move!
Leia: Furriends, do you see the injustice here?! This end spot on the couch is MINE. It's always been MINE! And here is the orange interloper who thinks it's just fine to take over MY spot. He has the rest of the couch. I want my place back.
Fine. I'm laying here anyway. If you want your tail back, you have to ask nicely.
Toby: Yawn. What are you going on about? I don't see anything wrong.

Happy Caturday and Easter Weekend!
It's a two-fur celebration wish!
We hope all of our furriends and their families have a wonderful weekend.
But be careful... you never know what silly photo opportunities the 'rents have in mind !!!

Dear Kitteh Next Door,
We don't know each other. Mom says you are a cute little cow kitteh.
But we're sorry - that your people thought it was ok to go off and leave you alone. For SEVEN DAYS. Apparently they just left you a big bowl of food and water, and one hopes, at the very least an extra facility.
We're sorry that they don't understand that we felines, as resilient and amazing as we are, really can't be left alone that long. And we're told you don't have a four footed companion; it was you and you alone. For seven days.
We're purrhaps sorriest of all for this - that your Mom didn't try harder to reach ours to ask if she would look after you. The gate guard just talked to your hoomin lady when they came back this afternoon; she "never saw our Mom" to ask her. They could have tried the novel approach of.. .knocking on the door.
Yes, we would have been outraged to have OUR Mom watch over another kitteh; she would have thought it a bit uncomfortable to be in the home of a stranger, but she would gladly have traded that for the days of anxiety over your wellbeing.
- Signed, the Kittehs Next Door to You.
Mom:
I came home Tuesday after work to see the cat pop up in their window, clearly looking for her/his people. When she saw I wasn't them, she walked away crying. It almost broke my heart. Soon I will go over and give them my number so they can call me if they go away again. They are young - old enough to buy a home and have two babies, but young enough to still be stupid like this.
