Mom is such a lush - she was constantly smooshing my glorious, warm orange furs. At LEAST once every two hours yesterday.
No peace at all for this poor kitteh. She needs to find some other way to get a fix, this sort of thing seriously impacts my sleep schedule.
So, why I bit the momma recently:
We were both sitting there watching the outside kitteh eat. Turns out I'm not as chill about this as she thought. I got into a huff when O cat looked at me, so mom walked away. And I bit her foot as she passed. And she... she... laughed at me. Can you believe that? It's hard to chomp successfully when ya only gots the one fang.
Plus, she said I'd gotten to be like that teen who stayed in his room and wouldn't interact with his family, because I never left my spot by the glass, even though I was very quiet.
So now.... The glass door is completely blocked off for a good long while.
MOUSES!
Wow! You bit her? One or two of us are always looking for a good, legitimate reason to bite our Mom, and we'll admit some of our reasons have been flimsy at best. We may have to reevaluate our thinking on this!
ReplyDeleteUh oh....never bite the hand (or foot) of the peep that feeds you?!?!? Pleeeeeease tell me you're all friends again now or....do I need to send a foodables parcel?????
ReplyDeleteLoves and licky kisses

Seriouslies, Toby...I'd go bite her again for laughing!
ReplyDeleteToby, I'm glad your view of that outside kitty is blocked off - we get too many of those outside kitties here, and fortunately it hasn't spun any of us out.
ReplyDeletedood.....ewe waz just showin how feerce ewe R.....yea.....feerce...N yea itz grate that momz helpin out with de guyz outside.....but...ya still has ta be...feerce !!! ☺☺♥♥
ReplyDeleteToby, we can't believe she laughed at you for biting her. You need to find a way to get her back. How 'bout horking in her shoe?
ReplyDeleteLaughed at you!! Unforgivable! Amarula only has one fang too!
ReplyDeleteToby, our mom's original cat used to do the same thing to her! She'd see an alien cat on the porch, get all wound up and then bite Mom on the leg when Mom passed by! (Our mom laughed too.)
ReplyDeleteMy mommy had to block off several windows when that happened. I hissed terribly at mom and struck at her though she was far away enough not to get hurt.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I am willing to add this case to the schedule.

As yes, the effect of one fang biting is like the sound of one paw clapping...
ReplyDeleteMy kitty does the same thing, except he likes to hide under the bed and ambush me when I am not paying attention to take a bite. Loved reading this, thanks for the post.

I can't blame your mom too much because your furs are super gorgeous and you are so irresistible :-) Oh but she shouldn't have laughed at you! She should be purrnished!
ReplyDelete87 years ago back when Milky-Way reigned as King of the Manor there were several cats of unknown origin (U.O.) who taunted him at the back door. Several times he threw himself at the door to show he was in charge. Mom had to put the shade down and anchor it in the brackets for many weeks. Finally the U.O. cats stopped coming. Fingers crossed the blockage works for you all too.
ReplyDeleteHugs madi and mom
I have a tip for you. I learned that it's "ok" if you bite your mom at the vet's. My mom was helping hold me down while I was getting (gasp!) my anal glands expressed and I bit her hand. She said it wasn't my fault. Signed, Benny
ReplyDeleteI have the same thing happen when I hiss! LAUGHTER! Like we're not virile and ferocious and all mancat! And our Moms laugh! We'll show them ... tomorrow ... or so.
ReplyDeleteDarn it, Toby. We can't believe Mom laughed at you when you bit her!
ReplyDeleteOMCs due to my wonderful vet I'm back to ME!! I had a yummy supper and snack before bedtime.
ReplyDeleteMom told Dad I was back to my old tricks already. (jumping on my window perch and sashaying over to her bowl of Cheerios).
Hugs madi your bfff
Wait. She LAUGHED at you?!?! That is so not right.
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
How rude of her to laugh at your manly ferociousness!
ReplyDeleteThat was not nice of her to laugh. Thank you for the condolences you left on my blog for my family's loss. XO
ReplyDeleteThe humans can be so annoying when we are trying to sleep! The Mom likes to pet us a lot when we are getting our beauty sleep, too.
ReplyDeleteShe laughed at you? She... LAUGHED at you? Oh my mouses. SHE LAUGHED AT YOU?
ReplyDeleteHmmm...
Next time, pee on her. I bet she won't be laughin' at that.
MOUSES!
By the way, hearin' you say "MOUSES!" quite literally MADE MY DAY. I'm gonna be purring 'bout this for the rest of the afternoon, for sure. PURRS
ReplyDeleteWell, it IS a classic line.
