#team fairy

I have always loved the world of fairies! I currently have a fairly decent collection of items too.

Here I have three houses. They MUST all have doors that actually open. The architecture can vary wildly, as you see here, but the doors must open.

I think it's quite rude to offer lodging to tiny folk that can't get actually get into the houses. And maybe it's just me, but I think that might be a very bad idea, to annoy them.

I got this one tonight. It even has a light inside, if I want to turn it on.

However, as much as I adore fairies, I don't feel the same way about gnomes.
I feel strongly, always have, that the two do not mix, but are at best, irritations to each other,
if not outright enemies. So, you will never find any gnome items in my house,
no matter how cute they may be.

Happy Caturday!

  1. Those are adorable fairy houses. And we agree about the gnomes...they’re definitely not as cute as fairies. :)

  3. Those are cute little Fairy houses. I don't like gnomes either, they look evil to me.

  4. Those are such cute houses for fairies! I love the shoe shaped one. I do think fairies are happier without gnomes :-)

  5. Cathie OMCs these are gorgeous. I've never ever NO never seen anything quite like this. Where do you buy them. I agree Fairies are delicate with lacy wings and wands. Gnomes are rugged and travel (travelocity) a lot. Just beautiful

  6. Cats and fairies just go naturally together, I have always thought. The boot I got from Michael's Crafts last night. The other two came from Hobby Lobby.

  10. That shoe house is darling! My parents have a neighbor who has gnomes all over front lawn. To each his (or her) own I guess. I think fairy houses would be cuter.

  11. I'm not a gnome fan is what my mom said as she was reading this to me. She like me is a fairy fan. Some 10 years or so ago, she read an article about far doors in houses...built into the baseboards. It's in my old MSN Live Spaces blog that was put into my WordPress blog that is actually a storage place though I write in it sometimes. Some of the guys who read it actually made fairy doors in their houses for the grandchildren to enjoy after seeing that in my blog.

  13. Those sure are sweet. Katie's comment reminded our mom of Tiny Doors Atlanta (https://tinydoorsatl.com). There is a photo on their Instagram site of someone who left a group of little cats outside one, making it look like the cats were waiting to get in.
