So the Mom Went Shopping...

and let's stop right there. Do you ever dread, or feel suspicious about, their shopping trips? You just never know what they are going to drag home, do you?

And after today, we will carefully inspect everything she tries to get in the door. Because we might just want to put down a firm paw on it.

She bought a new sofa. A NEW SOFA!!! Do you, dear furriends, know what this means?



• Strangers in the house
• Rearranging of everything in the living room!!!
• A complete disruption of all that we have been comfortable with for years now
• WHY?

Ok, well, we might be willing to consider this. It does add extra seating for us all, and more impawtantly, will keep Mom from sometimes making us move from the bed during the day for her own naps, etc.

And she swears she did all she could to make this as feline friendly as possible.

To our furriends who have lost loved ones, especially recently, we know this will be a difficult weekend. You have our warmest good wishes. Jasper's family - we know you aren't American so this isn't your holiday, but still, we are thinking of you today as well.

PS: Mom wants to know if anyone's hoomins are brave enough to venture out shopping tomorrow? Or tonight?

We just read that Russell, another wonderful orange, has left for the Bridge.

None of them are fair, but this one, really really really isn't fair.

Sun Vs Bug

Ok, so the two of us are just relaxing, enjoying our Easy Sunday sun bath.

(yeah, we know only Leia is pictured here, but trust us, we WERE both right
there.)

And then Mom walks in and sees this really big bug on the floor. She looks at
us - we look back at her - and she wants to know why we aren't doing anything
about this great big bug on the floor.

Well, that's not entirely fair. We WERE watching the bug. Just not, y'know,
doing anything about it.

So she ends up dealing with it. Well, duh.

Well That Was Rude Wednesday

In the wee hours, Mom and I were headed towards the bed. In the dark. I knew she was there but I guess she didn't see ME. Hoomins have no senses, I swear.

So we collided. People, she actually stepped on my toes! She apologized so I was gracious about accepting. And then:

"I'm glad it was you and not Leia. You're the feline equivalent of the Washington Memorial."

???<>! Mom! (I don't really know what the Washington Memorial is, but I'm thinking it must be big).

This is what I have to live with. No respect.

PS: My official lab report came back. Nothing to worry over.
