Dear furriends, can you believe our mom does not trust us?
There I was this morning, sitting quietly, and handsomely, right by the front door. Minding my own catly business, when mom gets ready to leave.
And makes me move! Without so much as a by-your-leave! Tells me she loves me but doesn't trust me not to get out the door.
Well. This cuts, lady. To the quick!
PS: she doesn't trust Leia either.
I have to defend her Toby and Leia. Even MY mommy makes me move when I am sitting by the door, also minding my business. She does. And she is besotted with me so I have concluded that the lack of trust, and the idea that I will exit on the first opportunity is well founded by her past experiences and so I forgive her. *I* wouldn't do that. *YOU two* wouldn't do that, but it's the nature of our moms to worry about us. WE just have to power on through.
ReplyDeleteYour mom clearly has trust issues. I can't blame her too much, though, because we put barriers before reaching the door :-)
ReplyDeleteOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Toby wonder if there is chill pill for mom's trust issues? If so I can teach you how to pill her in one easy swoop
ReplyDeleteJust sayin' Madi your bfff
Go sleep on her head tonight, kitties...that will teach her to insult you in that way!
ReplyDeleteThe nerve! Maybe you just want to see what's going on outside.
ReplyDeleteLeia wins the award for that look of total disgruntlement. She might be a tiny tabby, but I think I might have nightmares ;) How dare your Mom not trust you! I mean, it's not like you've tried to escape before, right?!?!
ReplyDeleteMy human doesn't trust us either! Especially Binga, who has been known for sure to wander out an open door. Even Boodie will do it, if given a chance.

We have tight security here for lack of trust.
ReplyDeleteLeia looks like she does not approve of this lack of trust. If it's any consolation, I'm told Pierrot is not trusted.
ReplyDeleteToby, that's a great picture of you loafing in the middle of the table. :)
She's just overprotective, Toby. After all, what would she do if you decided you wanted a little walkabout? You know humans can't function without us.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Leia, we love that face!
Our mom is like that too. We don't know why....we've never given her any reason not to trust us. ;)
ReplyDeleteHmmm...
ReplyDeleteMy Mommy is exactly the same! Is it a Mom thing?
Purrs
Marv
What is with that lack of trust, Toby and Leia? The nerve!
ReplyDeleteoh she trusts that you have different priorities than she does
ReplyDeleteAs much as we here all like to be outside, it is mostly only in the big fenced-in back yard. Well, OK, Ayla can slip inder the gate and sits close to the fence watching the neighbors sometimes, but she never goes more than a few feet away.
ReplyDeleteThe front is THE WHOLE REST OF THE WORLD and we dont feel safe there. The back is OUR world and we love the fence that protects us!
Frodo and Zulu get the same treatment!
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Halloween!
ReplyDeleteNoodle and crew
Oh, do I EVER know where you're coming from! Our mom is the same way! It's like ... it's like she thinks we'll take off running or something! I mean ... we WOULD, but that's not the point! Where's the trust?!?! Am I right here?!?!
ReplyDeleteYours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
