Excuse me for getting some rest here, it's been a long few days.
Mom said we got the blood work results today - and it's good news!
I don't have any signs of the big stuff, like kidney or thyroid or diabetes.
So yeaa!!
No one told Mom they also did a UA; *I* could have told her but she didn't ask about the stuff they did to me while I was out of the exam room. Hmpf.
Turns out I do have some bacteria but right now they aren't treating that,
just said to keep an eye on my...um...facilities habits. They don't want to over medicate me.
Of course, the cause of my tender tummy is still unknown. So right now we are going to treat symptoms, maybe go on a fun prescription diet.
We want to thank our furriends once more for their kindness, and for caring about me.
Unfortunately, we have to share some very sad news - Caroline, she of the most beautiful blue eyes, has passed to the Bridge. We have followed William of Mass Destruction for quite a few years now, and are heartbroken that she has gone on. Please visit her family if you can.

This is a big relief to learn that your blood test came out perfectly, Leia. Let's hope the bacteria won't be a big deal. Annie's had that in the past as well. Also hoping the treatment helps your tummy and no more throwing up (at least, no more than the occasional throw up kitties do)!

That is very good news that your blood work came back good. Maybe you could ask your vet if prebiotics would help? They often work better on sensitive tummies than probiotics.

Leia...what wonderful news....Angel Madi will tell you as all species age we have to make some changes...and well cats aren't big lovers of change...but it it is worth the effort. Hang in there

ReplyDeleteWe're so glad to hear that you got nothing but good test results. When I took Bear to the vet last week, they checked his thyroid too because he seems to barf a lot. It was normal - as was the rest of his bloodwork. So hard to watch those we love the most not feel good.

I am happy all overt that your results for the BIG stuff were negative and I am hoping the more gentle measures will help you quickly. About Caroline, it made my mom's eyes leak really bad. And when she went back again today. They leaked again. She loves all the William of Mass Destruction kitties very much and it hurts her when one goes to the Bridge. XXX
