I found this little guy today at a thrift store.
How cute is he, with his little suit and walking stick??

I was just thinking recently how I'd love to have a troll doll again,
I had a few when I was younger.
I had a few when I was younger.
Now, normally I would not bring any troll, goblin or gnome figure in my house.
I'm very much on #teamfairy, and they don't get along well with others, but he's an exception!

He agreed to make an appearance with Oliver here.
After he got whapped, he decided once was enough.
(and yes, I did see it coming, because... cats.)
I need a name for him now. I'm open to suggestions,
so please toss your choices out in the comment section.
Enjoy your pre-holiday weekend, guys!
That is a cute little troll. We came back from Norway and the Arctic Circle 3 weeks ago and saw lots of them in all shapes and sizes. We took a tour with a native Sami guide/driver and his name was Eiven. That would be an authentic Norwegian name.
ReplyDeleteThe mom thinks she still has the troll doll she had when she was a kid. Now that she saw yours, she’s going to go looking through some boxes and see if she can find it.
ReplyDeleteHorace.
ReplyDeleteMy human is terrible at naming anything, and I've never thought about names (other than my own), so we're no help. MOL!
ReplyDeleteMorty?
ReplyDeleteAnd Oliver, good job with that whappin'!
My momma has TONS of those things. Including that one. Since he's a grandpa troll, maybe an old-timey name like Abe, Jebediah, or Walter.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Too bad it's a boy, otherwise we'd recommend our old bro William's cat mom's name, Isabelle. She really was a troll in a cat suit!
ReplyDeleteWe like Lone Star Cats' suggestions though.
Love the photo of the little guy and Oliver! Yes of course whapping was inevitable lol :-)
ReplyDeleteNot good at naming but maybe Mr. Brownlow.
LOL at the whapping; yes, because cats. :-)
ReplyDeleteOn a more serious note, I wanted to thank you for stopping by with condolences on Nicki's passing. It's been a long time since I've blogged as "Fuzzy Tales" and been part of the cat-blogging world, so I appreciate your time and care. I know that we all have been there and understand.
Take care and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Kim
How adorable...Oliver seems to approve and that is B I G!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe your new pal Tucker the Troll
Hugs Cecilia
At least you got one photo before the whap!!
ReplyDeleteI LURV Troll dolls! Have a handful of them: an astronaut, a wizard, a pumpkin, and one that had no clothes, so it's nekkid! I played with them as a child. I just finished reading, "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared" and his name was Alan...so that's a suggestion!
ReplyDeleteWe have some troll dolls here too, mostly for holidays and hubby has a few sports one. We suggest Oscar.
ReplyDeleteAwww..he is cute. I used to have a troll when I was a kid and my mom threw it away because she said it was bad luck. He looks lucky- how about Lucky for a name?Thank you for the kind words you left on my blog for the loss of KaTwo. XO
ReplyDelete"Harry (The Hairy) Troll"?
ReplyDelete"[some really funny sounding name] the wise?" Oliver's thinking, "You know what I have to do to this troll, right?"
