This is an OUTRAGE!

Furriends, never before have we been so angry - this is our MOM!!

We expect when she goes out, that she will return in more or less the same condition as when she left. And you know, we supported - grudgingly - her caretaking visits next door to Emmy the neighbor kitteh.

We do NOT support that little heifer kitteh springing straight up from the floor and grabbing both sides of Mom's face with her very sharp little claws. We're told Emmy is just very lonely and in heat and beginning to show signs of anxiety due to being left alone so much.

But we still aren't happy about it - and Mom says right now she ain't too happy either. Maybe when her face stops stinging....

  1. OH NO! That is just too much...poor Emmy, and poor your Mom. This is a radical idea, but could you catsit her at your house?

    1. Oh no. Emmy would probably love that, but my cats would stage a SERIOUS revolt. There would be fur in the streets.

  2. OH no. I hope to heavens that your mom can convince the kitten's owner to PLEASE have her spayed and to PLEASE get her a playmate so she will not be so desperate. I know you two knows this. Your mom too. I wish the neighbor could plase have some mercy on that kitten and I also hope your poor mom's face stops stinging soon. I trust she applied neosporin or something like that after a thorough soapy wash.

    1. She's supposed to be spayed in June. I pray that does happen. At least she doesn't roam outside, that's something.

  3. Poor Emmy - how sad that she's that desperate. :-( I wish your human could talk some sense to her human.

    1. One of my fears is that if I push too hard, they will get rid of her, or just stop asking me to petsit. I don't enjoy the attacks but I'd worry badly if I can't at least look in on her.

  5. oh no we are so sorry. Mom watched Jackson Galaxy on My Cat from He## last night. the first segment was about a kitty who was left alone way too much cause his mom traveled. According to Jackson, the attacks were the cat's way of trying to hang on to the mom so she wouldn't leave it alone. At least this cat was neutered. We hope the scratches aren't too deep and will heal without issues!!
So not only does Emmy get left alone she had not been spayed. I have a serious question? Why do these people have a cat? Sounds like they wanted a 'trophy pet'. Just to say they have one. I'm so sorry for you mom's injuries and for Emmy.
    Hugs madi your bfff

    1. Emmy has attacked me before, when I was leaving. She launched herself into the back of my legs, didn't see or hear it coming. I know she's incredibly lonely. This kitteh is an extremely people friendly one, so she needs humans more than the average cat would. I feel so bad for her. Her human swears she doesn't want to be gone so much.... I wish Emmy could find a better home, but I'm afraid that if I press the issue they will just take her to the shelter as being too much work.
