Christmas Thanks

Christmas is almost upon us. Another year, hard to believe.
For me, this has been a rough year, too many changes.
The first anniversary of my cats' passing is next month.
My first set of holidays without them. I haven't talked about this
because I didn't want to depress anyone else during this season.

They are in my thoughts every day, but I've learned to live with their absence from my daily life.
However, I have had one constant throughout this year, and that is my fellow cat bloggers.
I appreciate your company, your comments here, and your own posts that I follow.

Thank you for your company this past year.
May you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year.

  4. All sad anniversaries are hard especially the first, and to be near Christmas makes it even harder.
You have had a very sad year and I hope 2020 is a much better one for you.
I am glad that reading the blogs of friends you have made over the years helps. (((hugs)))

  5. I'm sending you my warmest purrs and hugs too. Dad says it's okay to feel sad, but we hope your 2020 is a better one. Dad says he and mom just passed the 5 year mark of Orbit's passing, and they still get sad thinking about that old guy. We do leave our marks on y'all's hearts. There's no question about that. Take care of yourselves, and we hope the coming year is better for you.

  6. Sending hugs and universal Light and hoping 2020 is an amazing year for you. IMO, it's perfectly okay to blog what you feel, even if it's not all social media "perfect." No one's life is perfect. Life is messy and sad and silly and wonderful too, and none of us escapes unscathed. We understand and send our support!

I don't know the author of this quote, but it's fitting and true: "We are not here to see through each other, we are here to see each other through."

  7. Tomorrow will be a sad anniversary for us here, and we all in the CB understand how you feel. We're all here for you always, and Katie sends her sweetest face and warmest purrs; and we both send love. You have had a sad 2109. May the coming year bring joy. I think it will. XX

  10. TBT: I understand. Lose of our dear friends is so very hard. They all live in our hearts though.

Everyone reacts differently. My thought is that when one door closes, another opens. Skeeter was a heart cat; the first I ever had from kittenhood to Bridge. It hurt SO MUCH to lose him. But that opened the door for Iza.

  11. You've been in our thoughts, and wish you a much better 2020. Remember, however, that you are resilient, and right now is not the rest of your life. Hugs and purrs.
