Our Caturday Is... Matthew is Being VERY Rude

Mom says people here don't typically park on the lawn.

But she's grateful for the neighbors who were banging on doors to let us know,
hey, probably want to move your car!

If you biggify and look at that blue hatchback behind her car, you can see how high the water rose. And that car is about the same height from the ground as Mom's.

PS: It's only 1:54pm here. Many hours of rain left to go.

    1. Me too! It's already bad. A lot of impassable roads, rescued people - by boat or military vehicles - downed trees.

  2. Oh gosh, it's so scary...I pray you all stay safe, and Matthew will move away quickly.

  3. Stay safe and snug, you three. Our mom's been through many a hurricane but we haven't--if we had, we'd be hiding! Our old bro Eddie went through a tropical storm with her in '96 (the last of Hurricane Edouard). He hid under the bedcovers until it was over.

  9. I am so glad all seems well right now. My other favorite brother in Charlotte had a tree branch fall and hot his car as he was driving from Matthew's high winds. ( about 50 mph is all)
