Finally Friday - Squeals & Interactive Toys

Back in the day, and my 'thritis wasn't a thing, when I wanted something
from mom I'd just stretch up and tap her with my paw. Easy mousies.

These days, I just sit here and paw at her foot. But wow, you would not believe the way she SQUEALED tonight. Like she's fragile or something.

She complains that I have a strong paw and it hurts.
Meh.

Lots of rain here today. We're told there are lots of tiny, tiny frogs a-hoppin' all over because of it.
Just the right size for a paw to whap. But do WE get to play with them?

NO! I mean, yeah, sure, that would require getting out in the rain. And getting wet and dirty paws.
Ok, so don't you think she oughta bring some tiny frogs INSIDE then?
Aren't hoomins always looking for a good toy for us?

Well, here you go.

  2. Maybe you need to use your indoor paws, Toby! MOL!!

And we think your mom should invite a frog or two inside. Of course, we used to ask our mom to bring in some snails when it rained here and we too got zip.

  3. Maybe if you are lucky, a frog will sneak into the house! Wouldn't that be fun?

  4. It would probably be fun to play with frogs, but not toads. When Eric and Flynn were young they found a toad and tried picking it up. They both ended up with very frothy mouths and never touched toads again.

  5. LOL your mom should be proud of you for having such strong paws :-) I think frogs will make an excellent toy! When it rains, slugs find a way into our house. Maybe one day a frog will come in your house even without your mom's assistance :-)

  6. OH yes, our moms are supposed to always be on the lookout for things that will amuse us. And frogs fit the bill. As Eric and Flynn's mom said..NO toads. BUT I don't think your mom will do as you command...this time.

  7. Toby, you are definitely onto something there! If the human really, REALLY loved you, she'd bring in a frog or two for your amusement.

  9. Hmmm ... I thought Leia was the ferocious huntress. Maybe you meant you wanted to watch her do all the work to bring the froggies down ;)

  10. Humans are very delicate, aren't they? And yes, I do think some of the frogs should have come inside to play!

  14. LOL Toby just a few days ago I was standing on mom's thighs with my front paws. She told Dad I felt like I weight 50 lbs. She said my front feet were pointy and sharp. There is just no pleasing them

  16. Of course you have strong, mancatly paws, Toby. We are not sure why your mom was surprised! Too bad she didn't bring any frogs in for you.

  17. 0ooohhh, the tiny frogs sound like a blast to play with. Mom and dad laughed their butts off one night watching me watching a big mosquito-type critter bouncing around up high on the walls one night in here.

  18. dear Toby and Leia
yes indeedy your mom's story did reinforce the fact that mom and dad are glad to have the ShingRix vaccines over and done. They have also had several friends who had horrible cases of shingles. For sure 24 hours of reaction mess was better than months and months of it.
    Hugs madi your bfff
