Leia Hosts Very Easy Sunday

So not much happening here right now... including fried chick-hen.
Would you believe it's been TWO whole days since we've had any?

Every time mom brings out her noms, we assemble for our share
but it's not the good stuff, so we don't get anything.

So we just stare in utter disbelief. It's so disappointing.

Also, I want to give a meow-out to my boy Brody over at 15 and Meowing.
He's so dreamy!

There is one thing... Mom is still furious over the owner of our rental who decided to come in when she was not here and was unaware he was coming, to work on the dryer vent issue. She was, as always, very clear that she has to be here, just call her when you need to get in.
She does not allow hoomins to be here if she's not. In all our years with her, and being renters, this has never been an issue before now. She says we go through property managers, and don't directly interact with the owner. Which is probably a good thing because she does NOT have a high opinion of him for several reasons. But the doofus decided to handle this himself, and apparently has no respect for boundaries. Even worse, we still have a plumbing issue to deal with.

We hope everyone has a happy week. And calm people. Because it's a lot of work soothing them.

  2. Leia, that's an awesome easy like Sunday by you and Toby. That's a purrfect way to spend your Sunday. :)

Sorry to hear about the owner of the rental coming into your place like that. Is that even legal?!

    1. I don't think it is, except in case of emergency.

  3. My human would have been furious too! That is totally wrong. Especially when you live with kitties.

  4. Hope ya get some chikken.

Momma says she knows all about that - when she was renting, the owner sold the property (and showed it!) without telling her!

  5. The housekeeper here has a special way of soothing. Sometimes I think she should be wearing a roman collar, also! No way is it cool for someone to come in without notice! - Tom

  6. Leia, we're sorry you had to deal with an unscheduled alien in the house. That peabrain should know better than to enter a unit without permission or an emergency. Our mom's dealt with idiotic landlords in the past and knows exactly how your mom (and you two) feel.

  7. Gosh, I'd be really furious, too. He has no respect or common sense :-(
I hope you will get some chicken! You shouldn't be without it even for a day :-)

  8. Hoo boy, that guy is lucky that The Hubby wasn't around; he would have ripped the guy a new asterisk...and thrown him out on his ear too! The Hubby has anger problems, but when it comes to his home, or his family (humans AND cats), he's really fierce.

  9. Our mom would freak out if someone came in without permission! What if you got out?!?! NO. No, not good at all!!
I think you ALL deserve some fried chick-hen.
    Yours sincerely,

  10. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MOM IS IN 100000% AGREEMENT WITH YOUR MOM ABOUT introoders. Even when mom is here and we have more than one introoder she worries one will leave the door open so she either stands close by or I'm put in my safe kennel that is big enough for a German Shepard. It has room for my box, bed , water and food dishes

My word...that is just horrible, unfortunately with it being the 'owner' there isn't much that can be said or done I don't guess. We are so sorry your mom has this worry. I wonder can she change the lock or is that prohibited?
You deserve a bucket of KFC
    Hugs madi your bfff

  12. Everyone all agrees that this is a terrible thing. That should never happen, and one never knows when carelessness will allow one of the cats out. Besides the invasion of privacy.

  13. He sounds like a jerk! In Canada you could report him to the rental board- maybe you can do the same where you live?? Hope your plumbing gets fixed!

  15. Renting and cats don't go together easily. All the fees and demands of the cat being declawed ... My worst fear has always been a land-person who comes in and misses one of the cats making a run for it. I'd be upset if someone came into my house without asking - that's just wrong.

    1. Never run into the declawing demand, but it is hard to find a place to rent sometimes. But the three of us are a package deal, so we do what we have to. There is always someplace else, even if it's not the place we'd rather have had.

  16. That is just wrong. Surely it is not legal! And rude. We hope everything gets fixed.
Also, we hope the felines get some extra treats.
