Mancat Monday - Resistance is Futile.

But I'm gonna do it anyways, cuz that's the kind of cat I am.

Moms have their little tricks, don't they?
Mostly we get to win, except... When it comes to medicine or the Stabby Place. Then they really won't be swayed by OUR little tricks.

You see, this morning I didn't want to take my meds. Mom says I've been a real little stinker about it lately. So I ran UTB. Very effective. Can't reach me now, mom ! (Unless I lay too close to the edge of the bed, then she can just slide me right on out on our hardwood floor. Rookie mistake!)

Mom trick: lay on the bed and call for... Leia!! She knows I just can't stand for that hussy to get attention unless I get some too. It's like a light for little bugs, can't resist. I pop out, and MOUSES, she's waiting with the pill
! Just like this morning.

Sneaky, mom.

Note:
Last Friday I had my thyroid checked, had to double my dosage. Best part - I'm putting the Fear of the Orange into that place, I'm definitely getting a rep there.

  1. Toby, you know what we did to prevent any more hiding UTB? We dropped all beds directly onto the floor...hahahaha! Now the best that Angel can do it hide under the clawfoot bathtub, or in the corner under the dresser that has a really tall space for us the be able to grab her! Great news, that you are keeping the vet's office on their toes when you are around; way to be THE BOSS!

  2. Oh No Toby! I thought UTB was safe! I learned last week that Dad's can lift up the sofa to get cats that hide underneath!
No Where is safe! And Mom says thyroid medication is most helpful! Hissy Old Licorice had to take it for 8 years and he did well, you will too!

  3. Toby what were you thinking..running to the UTB where there lurks an extra set of ghost Mom hands mol on the hardwood.
You can't let the Stabby place EVER no NEVER get comfy thinking you are a laid back Orange man. Must keep the guessing

  4. OMG, my human would use a trick like that. Binga doesn't avoid being pilled when she needs it - she just spits it out if my human doesn't shove it far enough in - but if she did, my human would just pull out the camera and start photographing me, or start giving me a training session. That's like a Binga magnet.

  7. Wow, our mom thinks your mom is magical, Toby!

We think you should bite someone at your next checkup.

  8. Sorry you needed your meds increased. Would you take your pill in a pill pocket or a soft treat or maybe some cheese?

    1. Mom puts them in a pill pocket but I won't eat that. She just uses the pocket to protect my throat.

  9. I tried hiding UTB this morning so I didn’t have to take my medicines and the mom dragged me out and made me take them anyways. So unfair! ~Wally

  10. Good for you, Toby, having a fierce rep at the vet. You're also getting smarter at avoiding (or attempting to avoid) your pills. The big guy always sneaks up on me, darn it.

p.s. Sorry to hear you have to up your dosage.

  11. Call for Leia to get you! Wow, that's kind of the trick I've never heard of. Your mom is so smart!
Sorry you have to take doubled dosage. I hope it helps.
